Linguistic and Cultural Identity among North Americans with Norwegian Heritage 🇳🇴
Survey collection for this project has ended. If you participated, thank you very much for your time and contribution!
A Survey-Based Research Study
Are you a North American of Norwegian descent? Do you live in or otherwise feel connected to a community that was settled by Norwegian immigrants in North America? If you answered yes to either of these questions, please consider participating in this research study!
I am part of a research team that is conducting a survey study at the University of Wisconsin-Madison about language, identity, and culture among Norwegian heritage populations in North America called “Continued connections: Linguistic and cultural identity among North Americans with Norwegian heritage.”
The study seeks participants who are of Norwegian descent and/or are members of a Norwegian heritage community in North America. Even though there are questions about personal experiences with the Norwegian language, knowing Norwegian is not a requirement to participate.
If you are interested in taking part in this survey, or if you know anybody else who would be interested, the link to the online version is available here.
If you would like a printable copy of the survey, please click here. The mailing address for printed surveys is included at the end of the survey form.
